There is more of a community feel to Pop Warner than other youth sports.  Is it the grandstands?  The cheer squads? The boys in uniform? Is it our cross-community Menlo Atherton Vikings playing the likes of Redwood City, San Carlos, Palo Alto and others? No.  It's you!

Football Coaches/Team Parents

Administrative Functions
Equipment Managers (2 required)

Description: track and fit uniforms (busiest July 28th, Sunday); help with the first few practices; assistant to John O’Hare; must be patient, understanding, organized

Scholastic Team (5)
Description: Identify academic honors candidates, requirements Busy in August.

Book Certification Team (4)
Description: Insures all players have required forms
Busy in July/August Communications, Publicity (2)

Certification Director (1)

Description: high priority!!!!! Assist President in finalizing team’s required documents; requires attending one training session

Scholastics Director Assistant (1)

Description: Works to insure all teams meet Scholastics requirements

Volunteer Coordinator
Description: Work with other Board members to establish list of volunteers for various duties; keep spreadsheet or database; have email access; be willing to make phone calls; requires no action on game days

Fundraising Coordinator (1 per team to coordinate together)

Description:
Plan fundraising events (at least 2 for the year); coordinate with other parents; communicate with Board members; work with Volunteer Coordinator; keep spreadsheet or database; have email access

Home Game Day Functions
Field Physician
{EMT license minimum} (1/game)


Chain Gang
(3 per home game)

Description:
Great view of game. Cannot cheer for or against teams too much. Standing required entire game. Anyone can learn how!

Game Announcer and Socreboard
(1 per game per team)

Description: know how to pronounce players’names; be able to read roster and announce summary of each down; good speaking voice and knowledge of football; watch refs to stop/start clock

Player/Game Related Functions
MPR
(1 leader to train other volunteers) 2 per all games –would like consistent volunteers for season)

Description:
MPR = minimum player requirements. Verify that each players gets his minimum # of plays by beginning of the 3rd quarter; best seat in the house! Standing required; you’re done by 3rd quarter; must be patient, friendly, and knowledgeable of MPR duties (we will train you!)

Picture Coordinator

Description: Take team pictures; individuals; pix at games, events, picnics; post on internet/web site; coordinator with Web Master
