JILLIAN LONTAYAO
HEAD COACH

Jillian is the former Program/Operations Director at The Foundry Sports Facility and currently works for Stanford University in the Student Affairs/Dean of Students Office. In addition, she coaches for Encore Volleyball Club and for the College of San Mateo.Jillian began her sports life with Gymnastics at 3 years old, to move on to baseball/softball. She then began to play volleyball at age 8. Volleyball has always been Jillian’s favorite sport, but she could never get enough of playing all 3 sports all year around and most of the time playing 2 sports during a season. While a freshman in High School, Jillian began to be recruited to numerous Universities for Volleyball. These Universities include: University of Oregon, CAL, University of Washington, Northern Arizona University, Ohio State, Gonzaga University, University of Memphis, University of Alabama and more. She played for various volleyball clubs throughout the Sacramento area earning Open Division bids to the Girl’s Jr. National Championships. Additionally, she was excelling in Softball, she began to get recruited to Universities for softball and decided to accept a Full-Ride Softball Scholarship to Division I Sacramento State University where she was a 2nd team All-American & All Conference Player. Jillian graduated from Sacramento State with her Bachelors degree in Telecommunications and Multimedia and a minor in Marketing. In 2007, she earned her Masters Degree in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco. While working on her Masters she worked as the Executive Assistant/Office Manager League/Tournament Coordinator for the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) In the past 5 seasons coaching with Encore her teams have earned a bid to Nationals 3 times, and have finished in the top 6 in multiple tournaments at multiple age levels. Going into 7th season coaching with Anthony. Qualified 9 teams in 7 seasons with 2 Bronze medals.
